From a Dream to a Thriving Culinary Business

Founded in spring 2022, Noble Chef began as a small food business at the Downtown Charlottetown Farmers’ Market. What started with a few homemade products quickly evolved into a thriving culinary brand offering freshly baked goods, high-quality spice blends, pickles, hot sauces, and gourmet salts. The business was built on a shared passion for food, hospitality, and the belief that great ingredients, when used with skill and care, create something truly special.

Noble Chef is co-owned by Richard Charron and Rachel Ross and is an Indigenous-owned culinary business based in Prince Edward Island. As the brand grew, Richard and Rachel expanded their vision, co-owning Pretzel, Pint & Pickle, Prince Edward Island’s first Indigenous-owned bar at Founders Food Hall and offering private catering services for select events. Their commitment to craftsmanship, locally sourced ingredients, and exceptional service has made them a recognized name in PEI’s culinary community.

More than just a business, Noble Chef has become a platform for learning, growth, and cultural connection. Richard, who is Métis, continues to explore and honour his Indigenous roots through the work of Noble Chef, while Rachel ensures their hospitality-driven approach creates lasting experiences for every guest they serve. Their work reflects a commitment to food, community, and sharing meaningful culinary experiences grounded in both quality and identity.
