Msit No’kmaq Healing Candles – Kirby Bernard

My name is Kirby Bernard, and I am a Mi’kmaq woman born and raised here on Prince Edward Island in 1992. Raised by my grandparents, survivors of the residential school, has given me an objective perspective. That’s why creating a sage healing candle is so important to me. Sage possesses the incredible power of cleansing and healing energies, and I want to harness that in my candles. I aim to offer a source of comfort and solace to others seeking healing in their lives. Together, we can break the cycle of generational trauma and create a brighter future.

The phrase ‘Msit no’kmaq,’ meaning ‘all my relations’ in Mi’kmaq, reflects my connection to my community, ancestors, and all living beings. My candles will not only provide healing energy but also serve as a reminder of our interconnectedness and the importance of nurturing all relationships. It’s a way for me to honor my heritage and share it with others on their healing journeys!

My journey has been shaped by my own struggles with addiction and mental health, providing me with an objective outlook on healing. By sharing my experiences and offering these healing candles, I can provide support and comfort to others while giving them hope that they too can overcome their challenges. These candles are a tangible representation of my own healing journey and a way for me to make a positive impact on the lives of others. I’m excited to keep shining my light and helping others along the way!
