We are Mi’kmaq Heritage Actors, Atlantic Canada’s premier Indigenous theatre group.

Mi’kmaq Heritage Actors is a multi-media theatrical experience that combines the artistic disciplines of poetry, music, dance, and theatre performed by the Mi’kmaq Heritage Actors. The troupe consists of six young PEI Mi’kmaq men and women. The legends presented are based on traditional Mi’kmaq legends.

Mi’kmaq Heritage Actors is a contemporary theatrical experience where traditional legends are presented as short stand-alone segments in a show that can be tailored infinitely to meet the needs of different audiences and venues. New legends are continually being added to the repertoire in a collaborative creative process that involves the writer, cast, community and sometimes, even the audience.
