Maggie Arsenault is a Mi’kmaq woman & member of Lennox Island First Nation in Epekwitk. Maggie grew up off reserve with her family in Summerside. Maggie has worked with the Lennox Island First Nation community for a number of years in a variety of human services roles, supporting individuals of all ages, and community programs. Her work has strengthened her connection to community wellness and has further grounded her beadwork in her culture.

Maggie has always had a passion for art, in many forms. She learned to sew as a young child and bought her first sewing machine at the age of ten, but over the past two years she has developed a love for beadwork. For Maggie, beadwork is a way to connect with her culture and people.
