Jenene Wooldridge
Jenene Wooldridge is a proud Mik’maw author, speaker and passionate advocate for Indigenous rights. Raised in Kuntal Kwesawe’kl (Rocky Point) and a member of Abegweit First Nation, Jenene comes from a long line of leaders, including hereditary and elected Chiefs. She currently serves as Executive Director of L’nuey – the Epekwitk Mi’kmaq Rights Initiative which works to protect and implement Mi’kmaq rights.
Jenene was named one of the top 25 most powerful women in business by Atlantic Business Magazine in 2021. She is also a CBC Mainstreet columnist, CBC First Person contributor, and public speaker. Through her professional pursuits and her writing, Jenene seeks to amplify marginalized voices, support women, and promote inclusion.
She is also dedicated to helping others with their healing journey, by sharing the gifts she unearthed through her own transformational journey. Jenene’s book and weekly planner, Living Full Circle, is an invitation to live life with balance and initiation. Inspired by Medicine Wheel Teachings, it encourages readers to live in alignment with what is important to them. She believes in sharing the message that by changing your thoughts, digging deep, and aligning your heart and mind, you will ultimately change your world.
Jenene resides in Kuntal Kwesawe’kl (Rocky Point) with her husband and two children.
