Lennox Island First Nation would like to thank everyone who attended the 24th Annual Mawio’mi in 2024. It was a wonderful gathering with a great turnout, and the community is grateful to all who came to celebrate the rich traditions, heritage, and spirit of the Mi’kmaq people.

Looking ahead, the 25th Annual Mawio’mi is tentatively set for August 23-24, 2025, at the Lennox Island Cultural Grounds in Lennox Island, PEI. This cultural gathering continues to honor the enduring legacy of the Mi’kmaq Nation through traditional drumming, dancing, and storytelling.

The Mawio’mi is a time of unity and celebration, bringing together members of Lennox Island First Nation and visitors from across Canada to share in this powerful tradition.
